Zainur Digital Studio ("Zainur", "we", "us") is an independent digital experience studio based in Batticaloa, Sri Lanka, creating personalised digital invitation websites. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and publish it, who can see it, how long we keep it, and how you can request changes or deletion. It applies when you contact us, place an order, provide content to us, or visit a Zainur website.
Introduction
This Privacy Policy applies to customers who order a Zainur invitation website and to guests who visit one. We aim to collect only the information reasonably needed to provide, support and protect the service.
Information we collect
Depending on your order, Zainur may receive:
- Your name and WhatsApp number
- Email address, when provided
- Selected template and package
- Event type, names, dates and times
- Venue details and Google Maps links
- Names of the couple, family members or hosts
- Photographs supplied for the invitation
- Personal messages, stories and event details
- Correction requests and approval messages
- Payment amount, payment reference and payment-slip image
A banking password, PIN, OTP, card security code, or your online-banking login. Zainur only needs a payment reference or deposit slip to verify a transfer you have already made.
Information published on invitation websites
This is one of the most important parts of this policy. Information you select for your invitation - names, photographs, event dates, venue details, maps and personal messages - is published on a website reachable through its invitation link or QR code.
Anyone who receives the link or QR code can view the invitation. You decide what information is included, so please avoid publishing anything you would not want a stranger to see.
Zainur cannot control forwarding, screenshots or downloads made by guests. Removing the website later does not remove copies already saved or shared by others.
Permission for other people's information
You may provide names and photographs belonging to your partner, relatives, children or guests. By submitting this information, you confirm that you have the necessary permission to provide and publish it.
Photographs of children
Photographs or information about children must only be supplied by a parent, legal guardian, or another adult who has the authority to share them.
How we use information
Zainur uses the information you provide only to:
- Answer enquiries and confirm your selected template and package
- Create and personalise your invitation
- Send previews and make approved corrections
- Publish and host the invitation
- Provide customer support and verify payments
- Prevent misuse or security problems
- Keep necessary order and accounting records
Zainur does not sell or rent your information, or your guests' information, to advertisers.
WhatsApp communication and RSVP
Our enquiry form does not save information in a Zainur database. It prepares a message and opens WhatsApp for you to review and send - nothing is transmitted until you press "Send" inside WhatsApp. WhatsApp and Meta process that message according to their own policies. Photographs and payment slips are also sent through WhatsApp.
Where an invitation includes an RSVP button that contacts the couple directly, the response goes straight to the customer's WhatsApp. Zainur does not receive, store or operate an RSVP database.
Payments
Zainur does not use an online payment gateway. Payments are made by bank transfer or cash deposit, using payment instructions we share with you privately. You may send a payment reference or deposit slip through WhatsApp for verification.
- Bank details are never displayed publicly on any invitation website
- Payment slips are never placed in a public invitation repository
- Zainur does not directly collect debit or credit card information - your bank processes the transfer separately
Hosting and third-party services
Building and delivering your invitation website involves a small number of trusted third-party services:

Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy practices. Every customer invitation source repository is kept private. Payment slips and unrelated private conversations are not stored in invitation source repositories.
Website usage information
Cloudflare and other technical providers used to deliver Zainur pages may automatically process basic request information such as IP address, browser or device information, the page requested, and the date and time of the request for delivery, reliability and security. Where Google Fonts or jsDelivr resources are loaded, those providers may also receive normal technical request information. Zainur does not use this information for targeted advertising and only claims to use analytics tools that are actually enabled.
Cookies
Zainur does not provide customer accounts and does not intentionally use advertising cookies. Third-party services or resources used by, or opened from, Zainur pages - including WhatsApp, Google services and CDN resources - may process cookies or similar technical data under their own policies. If Zainur later introduces analytics, accounts or advertising tools, this section will be updated before those features are used.
Security
Zainur takes reasonable precautions, including limiting access to necessary people, using strong passwords and two-factor authentication, keeping invitation repositories private, avoiding unnecessary data collection, and removing expired invitations according to our retention policy.
Although we take reasonable precautions, no online transmission, storage system or website can be guaranteed completely secure.
Hosting period, retention and deletion
- Your invitation stays online until six months after the final listed event, or longer if you purchase a renewal
- The invitation is removed once its hosting period expires
- Working files and backups are deleted within 30 days after removal, unless you renew or we must retain records for a legitimate accounting or legal reason
- Essential order and payment records may be kept longer for business and legal purposes
- You may request earlier removal at any time
There is a difference between removing the public website, deleting Zainur's working files, and retaining essential payment or accounting records - each follows the rule above.
Your rights and choices
You may request:
- A copy or explanation of the information Zainur holds about you
- Correction of inaccurate information
- Removal of photographs or other content
- Deletion of information no longer needed
- Withdrawal of your permission to publish
- Early removal of your invitation
- Details of which services process your information
Withdrawing publication permission may mean your invitation website has to be removed.
